Unser Hymer ML-T 580 4×4 wurde vom Besteller ohne Ersatzrad konfiguriert und entsprechend geliefert. Es lag dem Fahrzeug zwar ein Reifen-Reparaturset von Mercedes Benz bei, jedoch halten wir es bei zukünftiger Schlechtwegenutzung für besser, ein Ersatzrad mitzuführen.
Our Hymer ML-T 580 4×4 has been ordered by and delivered to the dealer without a spare wheel. There actually is a tire repair kit by Mercedes Benz that came as part of the equipment, but we believe that it makes sense to carry a spare wheel as the future trips will include the usage of unpaved or malformed roads.
Das Ersattrad soll dauerhaft an der Heckwand außen befestigt werden, da jedoch laut Aussage unseres Hymer-Vertragshändlers die Lieferzeit für die Heckwand-Halterung mehrere Wochen beträgt, werden wir das Rad erst einmal provisorisch in der Heckgarage mitführen.
The spare wheel is supposed to be attached at the rear wall of the vehicle ultimately, but due to the currently extended delivery time (several weeks) of the Hymer attachment kit, we will carry the wheel in the trunk for the time being.
Einige Daten zu Reifen und Felge (als Reserverad bestellt wie werkseitig montiert, auch so in den Fahrzeugpapieren eingetragen) – some data about tire and rim (ordered as provided by the factory and mentioned in the vehicle´s documents):

Zu den Kosten:
Von verschiedenen Händlern habe ich Angebote erhalten, wobei sich der Preis für das Rad zwischen ungefähr Eur 250 und Eur 500 (inklusive Montage und Steuern) bewegte.
Die Original Hymer-Reserveradhalterung für die Heckwand wurde mir für ca. Eur 235 angeboten, die Montage für ca. Eur 162.
About the cost:
I received quotations from multiple dealers with prices ranging from Eur approx. 250-500 (incl. assembly and taxes) per wheel.
The Hymer attachment kit was quoted for approx. Eur 235 with assembly work for approx. Eur 162
Sobald auch die Anbringung an der Heckwand erfolgt ist, werde ich wieder berichten.
I will report again once the the wheel is finally mounted to the vehicle´s rear wall.
