Nach einigen Tagen in Südwestfrankreich, am Atlantik und mit lieben Freunden in Orthez, fuhren wir von unserem Übernachtungsplatz in Arthez-de-Bearn in Richtung des Parc national des Pyrénées.
After some days in Southwest France, at the Atlantic ocean and with dear friends in Orthez we started from our sleeping location in Arthez-de-Bearn towards the Parc national des Pyrénées.
Noch vor einigen Tagen sind hier die Radprofis der Tour der France 2018 entlanggefahren. Ab Laruns geht es wieder über Serpentinen in Gebirgen. Eaux-Bonnes mit seinem morbiden Charme passiert man mit Erstaunen.
Just some days ago, the cycling professionals of the Tour de France 2018 were here, too. From Laruns onwards, we took the hairpins up the mountains, passing Eaux-Bonnes with it’s morbid charme.
Vorbei am Skiort Gourette geht es bei beeindruckender Berg-Kulisse hinauf zum Col d’Aubisque. Dort begrüßten uns neben den Touristen freilaufende Schafe, Kühe und Pferde. Bei hervorragendem Wetter hatten wir eine tolle Aussicht.
Passing the ski place Gourette the ride continues uphill towards Col d’Aubisque with a stunning mountainous panorama. Up there, we were welcomed by sheep, cows and horses. We enjoyed a great view with fantastic weather.
Weiter ging es zum Col de Soulor, wo wir auch auf ca. 1500m zur Übernachtung auf einem Parkplatz unter Tieren entschieden. Das Abendessen war schnell geregelt, da dort oben auch leckere lokale Produkte wie Brot und Käse verkauft werden.
We continued to the Col de Soulor, where we also decided to spend the night on a parking with many animals. It did not take long to organize dinner as local products such as bread and cheese are being sold yo there as well.
