Bei einem Besuch in Marigny-le-Cahouët sollte man nicht die Chance auf eine Radtour entlang des Canal de Bourgogne verpassen. Wir taten am dritten Tag unseres Frankreich Roadtrips (21. Mai 2017) genau dies und erfreuten uns an einigen Kilometern dieses hochinteressanten Bauwerkes und seiner wunderschönen Umgebung bei bestem Wetter. Unsere Karte unten zeigt Marigny in grau.
When visiting Marigny-le-Cahouët or surroundings, you should not miss the chance for a bike tour along the Canal de Bourgogne. That’s what we did on day three of our France road trip (May 21, 2017). We enjoyed several kilometers of this highly interesting piece of infrastructure with its magnificent scenery having the luck of the best possible weather. Our map below shows Marigny in grey.
Radelt man am Kanal entlang, so passiert man alle paar hundert Meter eine Schleuse mit Schleusenwärterhaus. Insgesamt hat der Kanal 189 Schleusen von denen jede einen Höhenunterschied von 2,5m – 3m überwindet.
When cycling along the canal, one passes every couple of hundred meters a lock with a lock guard’s house. In total, the canal has 189 locks, each of them with a height difference of 2,5m – 3m.
