Am zweiten Tag unseres Frankreich Roadtrips (20. Mai 2017) setzten wir die Reise von der Champagne aus in Richtung Burgund fort. Am frühen Abend kamen wir in Marigny-le-Cahouët (département de la Côte-d’Or) an. Dazu nahmen wir ab Vatry die D977 /D677 Richtung Süden bis Troyes und folgten von dort auf der D671 der Seine. In Châtillion-sur-Seine nahmen wir die D980 Richtung Südwest bis Montbard, wechselten dann auf die D905/D10 bis zum Ziel. Unsere Karte unten zeigt den Zielort und ungefähren Routenverlauf in grau.
On the second day of our France road trip (May 20th, 2017), we continued our trip from the Champagne region towards burgundy. On the early evening, we arrived in Marigny-le-Cahouët (département de la Côte-d’Or). We took the D977/D677 from Vatry direction south until Troyes and then followed the river Seine on the D671. In Châtillion-sur-Seine we took the D980 direction southwest until Montbard and finally reached the destination on the D905/D10. Our map below shows the destination and the rough route in grey.
Marigny ist ein gemütlicher, sehenswerter kleiner Ort mit Schloss, von dem aus man diverse interessante Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe mittels Tagesausflügen besuchen kann. Ganz prominent verläuft auch der Canal de Bourgogne durch den Ort – wir werden in separaten Postings berichten.
Marigny is a cosy small village with a castle, worth seeing. From here you can visit several interesting points of interest on day trips. The Canal de Bourgogne prominently crosses the village, too – we will write more on that in separate posts.
Wir sind hier bis zum 24. Mai geblieben und konnten das Fahrzeug auf dem Grundstück von Freunden abstellen. Einen Wohnmobilstellplatz gibt es z.B. im nahegelegenen Semour-en-Auxois.
We stayed here until May 24th and parked the vehicle on the ground of our friends’ place. A camper site can for example be found in the nearby town of Semour-en-Auxois.
